SPRING!!!

Right now it is 60 degrees and sunny. It's great. It definitely makes going to classes a little easier knowing that break is just around the corner! This last weekend we had some very strange weather however. On Friday all the Grand View peeps went out to a park in Ankeny and grilled out. We were all expecting beautiful sunny skies and warm sand to play volleyball in. God had other plans for us. I must admit, in the beginning I wasn't overly excited to go and stand outside and freeze and eat hot dogs, but it was great! Mostly because everyone decided to make the most out of the night instead of complaining and having a horrible time. After we were done we went to sweet reds and hung out. We started a fire in the backyard, played madgab and Allie and I played catch with tongs and a tennis ball. Here are some pictures!

On Saturday, I got to hang out with Yvonne, one of the funniest people I know. She is also a very dear sister to me and we don't get to hang out a lot so I was SOOOOO excited when she told me she had made an itinerary for our day together! It started out with driving halfway to Ames with Noah and Ahman, then driving back. Then we went and played with Noah at the mall. Then we had yummy sushi. We went to the bunker and played a little football with the guys (we subbed in when TC almost got his elbow cut off, everyone was bleeding) and then went and saw a movie. Before the movie we bought Kazoozles, ring pops, big league chew gum and Milk Duds. At the store we saw this cute little banana dog! After the movie, we went to DSW and talked for like an hour in there. We ate dinner at Centro...Mmmmm. It was great! I was so excited to hear about her life and talk to her about mine. 

 Hahahaha...

Sunday: My favorite part of the day was going to the pond for the first time this spring! Carol and I love to go there and chat and read, it's perfect to get away and get into creation for a while. Here we are at the pond!

I also updated my computer so that I could use my iPod and it has this thing called FaceTime. It's basically like Skype except you can do it on your portable devices. So Carol can get on her iPad and I can get on my iPod and we can talk to each other. It's nice during the week when we don't really hang out. We also got sushi at Haiku and it was soooo good. Especially the salmon sashimi. I had a fun weekend!
